An internationally recognized author, researcher, innovation strategist and whole systems thought leader, GGI Founder & Chief Brainiac, Dr. G. has dedicated her life long energies to advancing the art & neuroscience of creative problem-solving. As a dynamic energizer of holistic systems analysis and a pioneer in new neuro-somatic learning systems and an advocate of “brain smart / mind awake” approaches to tapping insight & harnessing problem solving talents, Dr. G. founded GGI as a neuro-consulting/design thinking lab to encourage embodied and inspired methods of creative learning, living and leadership. With more than two decades of intercultural, arts/sci/design education, mindfulness coaching and innovation strategies research experience under her belt, Dr. G. envisions the future of learning systems enriched by high & low tech platforms that anticipate the needs of learner, whether adult or child.
Innovation Design & Science Leadership?: An inventive futurist, Dr. G. has kickstarted the practice of attention and awareness training aka mindful breathing practice in futurist communities from the TED satellite to Humanity + Summit. Her membership with The NeuroLeadership Institute and Mindshare.la communities speaks to her avant garde spirit driven to rethink design education, entrepreneurialism and leadership from the standpoint of applied neuroscience. Her continued Adjunct Prof affiliation with Art Center College of Design has enabled her to design curriculum dealing with future biotech, applied neuroscience and imagining new reality zones for adaptive “bodies in space.” Recognized for her impassioned editorials on neuro-smart and conscious creativity concerns, Dr. G. serves as an advisor to The Lifeboat Foundation, and the C3 immersive tech design community. A Fulbright scholar to Taiwan/China and a former AsiaPacific researcher, Dr. G. brings to “creativity and innovator DNA” discussions, added insight on cross-cultural perspectives and global futures.

Mindful Education Interests? Dr. G. can be counted among the early adopters, innovators and critical thinkers to generate content for translational and contemplative neuroscience integrated into educational and training sessions. Motored by voracious curiosity yet restrained by skepticism, she researched ground-breaking, creative & performing arts practices shaped by Asian meditative traditions, completing her doctoral dissertation at The Claremont Graduate University. The seed of research interest was first planted in her UCLA master’s dance studies program — a state of the art department that enabled both studio time with internationally recognized AsiaPacific performers and somatic pioneers and lab time with reknown educational researchers testing a new paradigm of contemplative movement, imagination and neuro-cognition studies. Today, Dr. G. leads the way in training young professionals in mindfulness training through her integrated S.I.T.T™ practice. To learn more about Dr. G’s past achievements, click here.

Working motto? “Creative problem-solving begins with an awareness of breath and spawns through the matrix of collective genius.”
